10 min 8 secअधूरा होते हुए भी पूरा सफर : ब्यास कुंड बारिश के मौसम में मनाली से ऊपर ब्यास कुंड का सफर शुरू से ही खतरनाक था। गहराते बादल, बढ़ती बारिश, उफनते नदी नाले, कोहरा और भूस्खलन, इन सभी का सामना करते हुए बढ़ती एक टीम को ब्यास कुंड से सिर्फ एक किलोमीटर पहले से लौटना पड़ा क्योंकि कोहरे ने रास्ता रोक दिया था। लेकिन स्थानीय गद्दी जनजाति के लोगों की पिलाई चाय और उनके बच्चों के साथ गीली बालू और मिट्टी में खेलते हुए ब्यास कुंड न पहुँचने की टीस पूरी तरह धुल गई। A failed but accomplished trek: Beas KundDuring monsoons, high above the mountains of Manali, the trek to Beas Kund wasnt giving the right feeling from the beginning. Dark clouds, increasing rain, swelled rivulets, fog and landslides were testing the will of a team right from the word go. Finally a pall of thick fog aborted the Beas Kund trek just a kilometer before its culmination. But on return, the tea provided by locals and an impromptu play in sand with some children washed away the dejection of an incomplete trek. 11 min 5 secलेह से मनाली 472 किलोमीटर का सफर है और आम समय में इसे दो दिन में पूरा किया जाता है। लेकिन एक छोटी सी चूक के कारण समय की कमी हुई और इस लम्बे सफर को एक ही दिन में पूरा करना ज़रूरी हो गया। पौ फटते ही शुरू हुई यात्रा पहले कुछ घंटों तो ठीक रही फिर हर बीतता घंटा मुश्किलों के पहाड़ खड़ा करता गया। पहाड़ों में ये मुश्किलें और भी दुर्गम होती गईं, की तभी एक देवदूत मिला और फिर सब कुछ आसान हो गया। देर तो लगी लेकिन एक दिन में हम दुरुस्त अपने ठिकाने पर पहुंच गए। An endless journey: Leh to Manali Leh to Manali is a distance of 472 kilometers. Normally it takes two days to complete it, but a small miscalculation meant on that fateful day it had to be completed within 24 hours. It all began at the crack of dawn and initially the going was good. But then things started becoming tough and as the mountains rose so did the challenges.
