A captivating tale of a young king destined to be an empire builder and a dancing girl, who decide to marry after falling in love thus creating an uproar in the community. Ranjith Singh the first Maharaja of the Sikh empire was all of 22 when he falls in love and marries a muslim nautch girl Moran. This causes an uproar in the orthodox religious sect and he is called to be punished for his misdeed. The Maharaja is not only humble but also apologetic in his behaviour which results in the dismissal of the matter. Moran and Ranjit Singh have a happy marriage which results in Ranjit Singh advocating a lot of religious tolerance and also uplifting and rehabilating communities to a better position. He gives Moran the esteem and respect that she has not received from the common man which is evident in the fact that he minted a coin in Morans name.
